Numbers strictly limited. * Our ANNUAL PAROCHIAL CHURCH MTNG is on Mon 1 March, 6.45 for 7pm start. The Nomination Book for elections is at the back of St. Mary’s; there is one regular PCC vacancy & one place to be filled for the role of Deanery Synod representative (who automatically becomes a PCC member), in addition a churchwarden’s vacancy arises (already one nomination) which could also precipitate an assistant c/w’s vacancy (again, already one nomination)... the book makes this clear! All nominees must be on the church electoral roll, which is now closed for new applicants until after the APCM following due notice. * There will be a PYJAMA PARTY & Film Night for girls from 11-18 yrs, 14th Feb, 4-6pm in Guildhall, to celebrate Valentine’s Day. Harriet for details 07746517518. * ASH WEDNESDAY this year falls on 17 Feb. The monthly 10.30am Holy Communion @ Ness Court will take place as usual. In the evening, in place of WOW!, there will be the traditional service of Holy Communion (with optional ashing) at 7.30pm... after which Lent Collecting boxes for the work of C.M.S. will be available (for return on Easter Sunday). * LENT COURSE (Churches Together) will run on successive Thurs evenings, starting 25 Feb, 7.30pm at Trinity Church themed “Experiences that Christians around the world face” .More details see Contact and Posters. * MOTHERING SUNDAY. Make a MOTHERS' DAY by purchasing an ethical gift for your mother or in memory of your mother this year. For £6 you could buy Springtime baby chicks and ducklings or for £19 you could support dads and mums in the UK and Ireland by supporting the training of a parenting group facilitator. In return you or your mother get a gift card form the Mothers' Union. Pick up a leaflet in church or contact Susan on 741791. * BIBLES AND LADYBIRDS I still collect bibles to be sent abroad through BookAid. Also welcome now would be any LADYBIRD books - for use by those learning English. Can be given to me in church, dropped off at CentrePeace or phone 610162.
