FOR YOUR PRAYERS:
- for Freya, baptised this morning, and for her nurture
in the Christian faith as she grows up supported by her
parents, godparents, sponsors & the Church, that she
may come to know the Lord Jesus as her friend and
Saviour.
- for Stephen & Abi as they settle into their new home,
that they will feel welcomed and well supported by their
new parishioners.
- for this parish entering the interregnum, that all may
rally together to ensure everything runs as smoothly
as possible, praying especially for those who carry
responsibilities for leadership in practical matters,
administration, pastoral care, and the leading of services.
- for all enjoying holidays at this time – for ample rest &
refreshment and for those would like to get away but are
unable to do so.
- for your people anxiously awaiting important exam
results at this time on which their future depends.
- for our young people and Hazel Williams taking part
in the youth exchange in Hungary, that it may be an
enjoyable and enriching time, with friends from our link
parishes overseas.

* CONGRATULATIONS to Amy Hopper who celebrated
her 18th birthday last Thursday (29th July).
* THANK YOU all for a wonderful farewell: a lovely
service to remember, and fantastic reception... & for your
good wishes & prayers ...& for such generous gifts - a
stunningly beautiful stained glass image of St Mary's,
some lovely plants for the garden, and a most surprising
cheque as well (be assured it will be spent very wisely!
). And from our bellringers a model bell as a teaching
aid! Thank you again for your love & support over 14
years, and may blessings abound in Burwell & Reach.

* We need HELP in the following ways DURING
THE INTERREGNUM: Someone, preferably living
near the church, to help with locking it up in the
evening.
Gardeners to help from time to time with keeping the
Vicarage garden tidy.
A subcommittee of the PCC is now going to start drawing
up a specification for what sort of person we'd like our
next incumbent to be, so please pass on your views to
Pat Chalmers, Stephen Walton, Philip Baker, Myrna
Leech or Janice Fearn. We also need your prayers!

* Karen Dening is planning to SKYDIVE on 12 Aug in
aid of Dementia UK, the charity that develops & supports
Admiral Nursing who support families with dementia. She
is seeking sponsorship; forms at the back of St. Mary’s.
* A reminder to please leave PARKING on the church
drive for people with mobility difficulties. Parking must
be on the right-hand side, leaving space at the entrance
to the church for attendance of emergency vehicles and
dropping off people with mobility problems.
* Pew sheet notices & diary entries, preferably by email,
direct to Val Badcock (valbadcock@btinternet.com; 15 Bloomsfield;
744042, ) by Thursday a.m. please.

yourself known to us. Children are welcome at all our
services, and if needed there are books and soft toys,
and a room to retreat to, at the back of the church.
Our Clergy, Reader & Pastoral Team are happy to make visits
or arrange Home Communions where this would be helpful.
