FOR YOUR PRAYERS:
- give thanks for the Listening Exercise and for the Away Day on Saturday 28th January. Pray for wisdom &discernment as we seek to follow the leading of God’s Spirit for our mission and ministry in Burwell & Reach
- during this Poverty & Homelessness Action Week, we pray for those who have no place to call their home, and those who live in overcrowded or wretched dwellings. Lord, in our comfort, remind us of the uncomfortable; in our plenty, give us concern for those in need.
- for those in our community receiving home communion on a monthly basis, “we being many are one body because we all partake of the one bread”.
- in this deanery; for the meeting on Thursday of the Board of Church in Society, concerned with many social issues affecting families and society, rural and environmental issues, criminal justice and ethnic minorities; pray for those workers in the front line as they seek to tackle the complex problems of 21st century Britain.
- for this parish: for those living in Saxon Drive, Mill Close (Burwell), Swaffham Road (Reach).
- for those in special need: Chloe Saunders, Jean Fearn, James Rae, Ray Elwood, Gina Bell, Raymond Ross, Zoe Rolph, Terry Sharplin, Claude Parr, Jo Debenham, Ken Stoneley, Alastair Grant, Noel Tweddle, Doris Sibbons
- For the bereaved, including Eleanor and her family following the death of her father Ken Withers, and for those remembering anniversaries of death at this time.
