FOR YOUR PRAYERS:
- give thanks for the Listening Exercise and for the
Away Day on Saturday 28th January. Pray for wisdom
&discernment as we seek to follow the leading of God’s
Spirit for our mission and ministry in Burwell & Reach
- for those suffering because of the extreme cold
weather, and for those who have died across the world,
especially those sleeping on the streets: that those who
cannot protect themselves will be offered warmth and
sanctuary by others.
- for those who have died in renewed clashes in Egypt,
particularly the seventy plus people who died at a football
match last Wednesday; may the Lord grant those who
continue to risk everything in the name of justice and
peace access to the hearts of people in power.
- On Education Sunday, for the many Church of England
Aided and Controlled Schools in the Diocese, and their
teachers and pupils; for Canon Tim Elbourne, Director
of Diocesan Education and the Diocesan Board of
Education, its staff and committees.
- for the guidance of the Holy Spirit on the General
Synod meeting in London from 6-10 February.
- for this parish: for those living in Isaacson Road,
Church Lane (Burwell), Ditchfield (Reach).
- for those in special need: Chloe Saunders, Jean Fearn,
James Rae, Ray Elwood, Gina Bell, Raymond Ross, Zoe
Rolph, Terry Sharplin, Claude Parr, Jo Debenham, KenIris Badcock.
- For the bereaved, including Eleanor and her family
following the death of her father Ken Withers, and the
family and friends of Steven Smith (of Low Road). Also
for those remembering anniversaries of death at this time

the Queens Jubilee and the Olympics next year. Please

* COFFEE MORNING 11th Feb 10.30- 2.00 Coffee
and cake and Bring & Buy raising funds for Away from it
All Holidays for families in adversity & Wheels Appeal (Travel
costs for Community Workers in Africa). An unusual form of
transport will be arriving during the morning from Three Rivers.
* We expect the BOILER WORK at St. Mary’s to be
started soon and while it is in progress, all Sunday
services will be transferred to Reach. Lifts can be
arranged. Midweek services and other activities will be in
St Mary's as usual. Details will be posted on the church
door as soon as we have them.
