> St Mary’s actively supports the work of Christian Aid by fundraising and by getting involved in campaigns to make changes in the structures that keep the poorest in the world poor. This work is complemented by the regular Fairtrade stall once a month in church and by the stocking of fair trade items at the church’s shop Centrepeace. On the committee are members from St Mary’s and Trinity Methodist/URC. Highlights of the year are the combined Christian Aid Week service, the "open-air" cake stall, house to house collection and one off events. We have had a fantastic fair trade fashion show, cream teas, and in the spring, a soup lunch that became the talk of the village.
