- for Jasmine, Ayesha and Lillian, baptised this morning, and for their nurture in the Christian faith as they grow up supported by their family, godparents & the Church, that they may come to know the Lord Jesus as their friend and Saviour.
-  for our Bishops Stephen and David and Archdeacons John and Hugh in their shared overseeing of all the parishes and affairs of the Diocese.
-  We continue to pray for peace throughout our world, particularly for peace in those countries which are making a transition from absolute power to democracy, from oppression to liberation. That their efforts will be rewarded and their future secure.
-  for the Holy Land: for justice
-  pray for survivors of the Turkish earthquake, for those who have lost loved ones and also their homes.

* LISTENING TO GOD, LISTENING TO EACH OTHER. Please could you return your questionnaires today if at all possible! There will be an initial review meeting for PCC and anyone else interested on Nov 12^th 10am-12pm in Guildhall. Advance notice of PARISH AWAY DAY January 28^th 2012.

* A time to Remember - A service of Remembering for All Souls Day – this afternoon 3pm- to remember & give thanks for loved ones who have died, whether recently or some time ago. To be followed by refreshments. If anyone could help with tea please speak to Sue Evans.

* As you may have noticed, THE SOUND SYSTEM has been repaired and is much improved. It is, however, very fragile, so if you are responsible for using it at a church service or event, please be very careful how you switch it on and avoid twiddling any knobs. Also, please don't forget to switch it off (as has happened several times in the last couple of weeks!)

* ADVANCE NOTICE – Churches Together Prayer for Advent – Thursday 1^st December 7.30 – 9.00 pm – more details to follow later.

* Copy date for the Dec/Jan issue of CONTACT is 11^th November. (see Contact for details).

* Please let the Churchwardens know if you SWAP on the various ROTAS to save panic when the listed people do not turn up on Sunday morning.

* A reminder to please leave PARKING on the church drive for people with mobility difficulties.
