Help us to be humble, gentle and patient with one another, forgiving each other as you forgave us and making every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace. - at its meeting on Wed, the PCC will discuss important matters relating to the appointment of our next incumbent, including the draft Parish Profile, which will be circulated to potential applicants. Please keep the PCC members in your prayers as they make decisions that will affect the future of this parish. - for schools & colleges – pupils, teachers and support staff – as term begins this week: a new school year; holding in our prayers especially those starting in new classes and in unfamiliar places – particularly all who feel anxious. - for the people of Pakistan, suffering the effects of recent flooding & for all aid workers that they will be kept safe from Taliban attacks. - for the 33 miners trapped underground in Chile; that they will find comfort in the love and prayers offered for them around the world. - in the Deanery: for Cheveley Group & The Deanery Standing Committee. - for this parish: for those living in Merton Close, Myrtle Drive. (Burwell), Great Lane (Reach). - for those in special need: Jean Pratt, Chloe Saunders, Vera Baker, Jean Fearn. - For the bereaved including the family and friends of Bob Ratcliffe, Ann Fuller, and those remembering anniversaries of death at this time. One more person for the cleaning rota. Several more people on the coffee rota. If anyone would like to help give the less able lifts to Church, please see Ken Hurrell. We need to update our church website, so if you would like to write about your group or help in general with designing and editing the website, please speak to Don Harrison or Pat Chalmers as soon as possible. * Please note that Ulrike & Stephen Walton have now MOVED HOME and there new address is 4 Baker Drive. Do please put the date in your diaries and come along. Covered shoeboxes will once again be available at the Harvest Service for your personal gifts and leaflets will be in Church and CentrePeace from the beginning of October.
