FOR YOUR PRAYERS:

-  for the diocesan Board for ‘Church in Society’ and the issues of justice, peace, & climate change it seeks to address with others.  Also for the Diocesan Finance Committee as it faces the challenges & difficulties of the present economic climate.

-  for the observance of a Holy and Spirit-filled Lent, that we may more & more be ‘transfigured’ into the likeness of Christ in our attitudes, words and deeds.

- thanksgiving for those newly enrolled into the Mothers’ Union, and for its work & fellowship in this parish, deanery & diocese & throughout the world.  We pray for Susan Baker, leading our own group & in her Archdeaconry role.

-  that our Gift Day this Sat. will be generously & enthusiastically supported as we face very considerable financial challenges.

-  for this parish:  for those living in The Paddocks, Dark Lane (Burwell), Chapel Lane (Reach).

-  for those in special need: Grace Bruce, Jean Pratt,  Stephen Thacker (& family),  Chloe Saunders, Irene Plumb, Vera & Len Lawrance, Anne Cooke (nee Griffiths), Ann Fuller, Renee Haslam, Vera Baker (Bella Swann’s Great Grandmother), Sylvia Palmer, Doug Biglin, Jean Fearn (mother of Janice).

-  For the bereaved and those remembering anniversaries of death at this time.

*  Our ANNUAL PAROCHIAL CHURCH MTNG is on Mon 1 March, 6.45 for 7pm start.  The Nomination Book for elections is at the back of St. Mary’s; there is one regular PCC vacancy & one place to be filled for the role of Deanery Synod representative (
who automatically becomes a PCC member), in addition a churchwarden’s vacancy arises (already one nomination) which could also precipitate an assistant c/w’s vacancy (again, already one nomination)... the book makes this clear!  All nominees must be on the church electoral roll, which is now closed for new applicants until after the APCM following due notice.
